Aligarh Roller Sports Association (ARSA) is the district-level governing and development body for roller sports in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The Association is committed to promoting, developing and strengthening roller sports at the grassroots level and providing athletes with opportunities to participate in structured competitions and championships.
ARSA is affiliated with the Uttar Pradesh Roller Sports Association (UPRSA), the state body of the Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI) in Uttar Pradesh. Through its affiliation with UPRSA, ARSA works within the recognised structure of roller sports in the state and supports athletes in their progression from district-level competitions to state and national-level championships.
The Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI) is the national governing body for roller sports in India. The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, lists RSFI among the recognised National Sports Federations for 2026. RSFI is also affiliated with World Skate, the international governing body for roller sports, and is a founder member of World Skate Asia. RSFI states that it has been affiliated with World Skate since 1971 and has been recognised by the Government of India since 1990.
INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATION & ATHLETE SELECTION
ARSA is part of the organised pathway through which talented athletes can progress from district and state competitions to national and international levels.
For international representation, RSFI conducts and regulates the selection process for Indian teams participating in international championships and competitions under the relevant World Skate and World Skate Asia framework. RSFI's published selection-trial notification specifically refers to trials for Indian teams participating in international, World and Asian championships.
ARSA therefore strives to identify and nurture talented skaters at the district level, provide them with competitive exposure, and support their journey towards state, national and international representation.

Our vision is to establish Aligarh as a strong centre for roller sports by encouraging young talent, promoting professional sporting standards, conducting quality competitions and creating opportunities for athletes to excel at every level.
We are committed to developing athletes through discipline, dedication, sportsmanship, professional coaching and fair competition, while contributing to the growth of roller sports in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh and India.

Roller Derby is a fast-paced contact team sport played on roller skates, combining speed, agility, strategy and teamwork. Players race around a track while competing to score points through skillful and tactical play.

Roller Hockey is a fast-paced team sport played on roller skates, combining speed, skill, teamwork and tactical play. Players use sticks to control and pass the ball, aiming to score goals while defending their own goal.

Artistic Skating combines roller skating with music, choreography and artistic expression. It showcases balance, precision, creativity and technical skill through elegant movements, spins, jumps and routines.
